ISLAMABAD: President of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) and former president Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday alleged that power is being transferred to non-elected entities rather public which is against spirit of democracy.

In a statement issued on the occasion of death anniversary of PPP pioneer and former PM Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari said that power comes through ballot box rather from bullet.

He said that it was matter of grave concern that ultimate authority was being transferred from public to non-elected powers within these tough times.

The PPPP President said that Bhutto’s philosophy needs to be followed to overcome the current situation. No one can forget the exploits of hope he has given to the nation. We have to dedicate ourselves to strengthen democracy, he added.
