Zarb-e-Azb gets one year old with significant achievements: ISPR

RAWALPINDI:  Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday that significant goals have been achieved during the one year of operation Zarb-e-Azb in FATA specially in North Waziristan and other terror hit Agencies.

Strong holds, communication infrastructure, and sanctuaries of the terrorists have largely been cleared and now the operation Zarb-e-Azb has moved to last few pockets close to Pak-Afghan border.

So far 2763 terrorists have been killed, 837 hide out destroyed and 253 tons of explosive material recovered.

According to ISPR, 347 officers and soldiers have so far embraced shahhadat during the one year of operation Zarb-e-Azb.

The whole nation came together to totally eliminate terrorism and our national media, civil society played a positive role to help end the menace.

The ISPR has vowed that the operation Zarb-e-Azb will continue till its logical end to ensure a terror free Pakistan.
