Zamruda concerned over deteriorating health of Yasin

ISLAMABAD: APHC leader and the Chairperson of Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen, Zamruda Habib, met the ailing Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, at Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar and inquired about his health.

Muhammad Yasin Malik is undergoing treatment at the hospital in police custody. Later, Zamruda Habib in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of the JKLF Chairman and prayed for his speedy recovery, KMS reported.

She said that thousands of Kashmiri youth had been illegally detained in different police stations and jails and their condition was miserable. She pointed out that even FIRs had not been filed so far against many of the detained youth which was deplorable. She said that most of the detainees were suffering from different ailments and they were not being provided with themedical care in detention.

Zamruda Habib also expressed concern over the continued illegal detention of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, and her associate, Fehmida Sofi. She said that AasiyaA ndrabi was also suffering from ailments and her health could further deteriorate in detention for which the puppet authorities would be responsible.

She appealed to the International Committee of Red Cross to take cognizance of the miserable plight of the Kashmiri detainees and play role in their release.
