Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi returned to Aden on Tuesday from exile in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

Yemen officials said that President Hadi will now oversee ongoing campaigns against the Houthi rebels who captured capital city Sanaa.

Arrival of the previously exiled Yemeni President was seen after visible setbacks for the Saudi-led coalition forces to reinstate his governance following ground offensives and activation of Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) terror group.

Earlier on last Monday, Saudi-led coalition forces launched an offensive along with local forces to push Houthi fighters out of the Yemen’s third largest city Taiz.

President Hadi went straight to his palace while his return came just days after the Yemeni Prime Minister Khaled Bahah who earlier announced the return of his government to Aden.

It should be mentioned here that it is second visit of President Hadi to Aden since a loose alliance of anti-Houthi fighters pushed rebels out of the southern city in July. Earlier, Hadi visited Aden in September after spending six-month-long exile period in Riyadh which lasted for three days.
