ISLAMABAD: Pakistani spinner Yasir Shah has become the quickest Asian spinner to complete the century of wickets in Test cricket.
According to a private news channel, Yasir Shah completed his 100 wickets within 17 Test matches only, leaving behind India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin behind.
Yasir Shah took five wickets in this innings and West Indies were all out for 357, still needing another 23 runs to avoid follow-on in the first Test match against Pakistan in Dubai.
Yasir Shah sent Brathwaite, Johnson, Dorwich, Holder and Cummins back to the pavilion during the first innings. Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Nawaz took two wickets apiece while Sohail Khan bagged one.
Pakistan now lead by 222 runs but have not enforced the follow-on. Pakistan will be batting again today.
