Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said protection of women bill is against Islam and constitution.
Addressing to religious party meeting at Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) headquarters Mansoora, he said that on our culture a few unjust traditions are there but still torture is prohibited.
But women protection law is against the teaching of Islam and constitution of Pakistan, he added.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif assured that if clerics agree then the government is ready to impose women protection bill in the country.
