LODHRAN: Armed men gunned down a woman over property dispute while a young girl died in a road accident here on Saturday.
Police said armed men of a rival group opened firing at members of opponent group, with whom they were in old dispute over ownership of a piece of land, killing a woman in Chak No. 219-WB of Dunyapur in Lodhran.
The assailants fled from the scene of the crime and the body was shifted to hospital for postmortem.
An over speeding car crushed to death a young girl near Basti Rungwala and sped from the scene of accident.The police after registering cases into both incidents at respective police stations have stared the investigation and efforts to arrest the culprits.
