KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar said MQM was in favor of targeted operation which was started on our demand and desire.
He at the same time expressed reservation on arrest of Rabita Committee member Kamal Malik and said no central leader of any other party was taken into custody, while MQM top leadership has been detained.
‘A raid was carried out at MQM center Nine Zero in March and MQM leader Aamir Khan was detained from there,’ he said while talking to media on Thursday morning.
He said if there was any need of investigation from Malik at least his family should be informed. His health condition was not well as he carried transplanted liver and he was arrested from his house.
‘Our cooperation on Karachi operation is from the first day and we are still in favor of it. Everybody knows who are funding terrorists,’ he said.
MQM leader Muhammed Rehan Hashmi said the Karachi operation was started on the request of his party and they wished that the operation goes in right direction. The operation should continue but with fulfilling demands of justice.
