The health organization appreciated the Pakistan government for having over 100 million citizens fully vaccinated against Covid.

“This indicates the tremendous efforts made by the Pakistan government in ensuring that everyone in the country has access to Covid vaccination,” the WHO further said.

Faisal Sultan, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Health Services, earlier in the day, had also announced the news on the social networking site.

He wrote on Twitter that 100 million Pakistanis had been vaccinated against Covid.

According to the data issued by National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the Covid positivity ratio in the country has dropped to 2 percent on March 6, the lowest level over the past two months.

It added that the last time the positivity rate declined this low was earlier this year on Jan 5 when it dropped to 1.8 per cent.

NCOC said that the new infections were reported when 37,661 diagnostic tests were conducted across the country during the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the daily Covid death toll had fallen below 10 once again as only seven people expired overnight.
