Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq said that West always disliked Islamic democratic governments and has history of supporting military dictatorships in Muslim bloc as Algeria, Palestine, Libya, Tunisia and Egypt were worst example of the western conspiracy. He said that Islamic movements around the world decided to bring revolution through democratic path but not to adopt militancy.
Sirajul Haq addressed public demonstration in Islamabad organised by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) in the federal capital Islamabad to protest against death sentence of deposed Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi. Central JI leaders also delivered their addresses in the public demonstration including Naib Ameer JI Mian Muhammad Aslam, Ameer JI Islamabad chapter Zubair Farooq Khan, JI Rawalpindi chapter Shams-ur-Rehman Swati, Raza Ahmed Shah, Khalid Farooq, Mian Muhammad Ramzan, Shahid Imran Gondal and Noman Tayyab.
JI Ameer said that Morsi was ousted from presidential post over his crime to support Palestine, Libya and other Islamic movements. He clarified that death sentences can never results as barricades in Islamic revolutions.
Europe has supported dictatorship instead of democracy which results barbaric bloodbath in Egypt; thousands were brutally killed and detention of more than 40,000 leaders and workers belonging to Muslim Brotherhood. The detained persons were pro-democratic people of Egypt comprising highly-qualified doctors, engineers and students, Sirajul Haq said. He demanded human rights’ organisations to stand against death sentence of Dr. Mohamed Morsi and for Egyptian nationals.
Sirajul Haq strongly rejected unjust verdicts of Egyptian courts and revised example of severe consequences after experience of military courts in Pakistan.
JI Ameer welcomed role of Turkey in support of Egypt nation and Mohamed Morsi. He aimed that JI will also follow footsteps of Turkey for economic developments and establishment of an Islamic welfare state by eradicating feudal system in Pakistan.
