ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that FATF is a technical forum and we have fulfilled its requirements.
He added that there is no justification left to keep Pakistan on the gray list. If the intention is to hang the sword, then that is another matter.
He said that we have been given 27 action items out of which work on 26 has been completed. Work on the 27th point has also been completed.
The foreign minister said that India wanted to use the forum for political purposes. Pakistan is eyeing the FATF plenary meeting. It would be inappropriate to put Pakistan on a further gray list.
India should not be allowed to make political use of this forum, Pakistan made important decisions keeping in view the international opinion and national interest, he added.
