Karachi: Faisal Moiz Khan, President, North Karachi Association of Trade & Industry (NKATI), while expressed deep concern over the non-supply of water to the industries of North Karachi industrial area as per the production requirement and demanded uninterrupted supply of water to the industries to continue the production activities. So that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of promoting industries and stabilizing the country’s economy can be fulfilled.
In a statement on Thursday, Faisal Moiz Khan asked MD KWSB that if the industries were shut down due to non-supply of water, the entire responsibility would fall on the MD as despite the repeated indications of water shortage by NKATI, the industries Is not being supplied with water as required.
“The issue of water shortage was also raised by president NKATI in the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Prime Minister’s house and the Prime Minister assured that the government would extend all possible help to the industrialists to continue production activities without any hindrance”, he pointed out.
Faisal Moiz stated that in that meeting, The Prime Minister admitted that the country would be on the path of development if the industries were to flourish. However, the deliberate obstruction of water supply to the industries by the KWSB is causing serious reservations among the industrialists.
Faisal Moiz Khan demanded that KWSB officials should be directed to provide uninterrupted supply of water to the industries of North Karachi as per the production requirement. So that the industrialists could play a role to fulfill Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of strengthening the economy of Pakistan by promoting productive activities.
