KARACHI: Syed Salahuddin supreme commander of Hizab-ul-Mujahiddin and chief of Muttahida Jihad Council, has said that the martyrdom of Burhan Muzaffar Wani has raised the largest wave of freedom movement in the history of Kashmir.
Addressing a crowded press conference at the Idara Noor-e-Haq, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) headquarters, he said that Kashmiri people are committed to throw out the Indian occupied forces from the valley of Jammu and Kashmir.
The gorilla commander said that despite all the sacrifices of people in Kashmir, the international community has been neglecting the issue. He strictly criticized the silence of global powers over the grave violations of human rights in Kashmir by the Indian forces.
He said that the people of Kashmir have been left with no other choice but armed struggle. He further said that almost entire population of Kashmir is on the back of their freedom fighters. He went on to says that each and every individual of the Kashmiri nation, including children and senior citizens, are ready to pick up arms, if the Modi led Indian government will remain fail to honour the will of Kashmir.
On the occasion, he also criticized the Pakistani government for cold response to the cause of Kashmiri people. He demanded of the ruling regime in Pakistan to shun traditional Kashmir policy and adopt a more bold stance. He also demanded of Pakistan to call off its envoys from India.
He was of the view that the Indian government and the United Nations will be responsible if the freedom movement in Kashmir takes any ugly turn. He said that despite passage of 18 resolutions against India, the International community remained fail to resolve the issue of Kashmir.
JI Karachi chief Engr. Naeem-ur-Rehman announced that JI, in solidarity with Kashmiri people, is going to observe a black day on August 15, while a march would be taken out Muzafarabad to Chakothi sector of border area.
