Pakistani pacer Wahab Riaz has created an unwanted record against India on Sunday.

The pacer conceded 87 runs in his 8.4 overs spell against in the first game of Pakistan against the defending champions at Edgbaston.

The record of most expensive spell at the ICC Champions Trophy was previously held by Zimbabwe pacer Tinashe Panyangara in which he conceded 86 runs in his 10 overs against England at the same venue in 2004.

Wahab, who was expected to be on the bench for India clash, somehow managed to pass fitness test and got selected in the high octane game.

However, he was clearly seen struggling throughout the game and was hobbled off the field after bowling 8.4 overs.

At this moment his injury is unclear.

Earlier, Muhammad Amir, who was bowling superbly, was forced to leave the field after having a cramp.
