ISLAMABAD: Interior Ministry has declared Rehman Malik’s statement regarding issuance of visas to United States personnel a lie, stating that there was no relaxation for US personnel in issuance of visas, adding that if Rehman Malik has any evidence then he must bring it out.
The interior ministry spokesperson said that there was no relaxation in issuance of visas to US and PPP leader Rehman Malik’s statement in this connection is nothing but a lie.
Talking to media, Former Interior Minister Rehman Malik had said that government criticizes PPP, but the issuance of visas to US citizens still continues.
On one hand the coalition support fund is being received; hence visas to US citizens will continue to be issued till Pakistan will seek help from US.
Interior Ministry stated that Former interior minister’s statement is innocent, wrong and comprising of lie, adding that issuance of visas has nothing to do with coalition support fund, while Rehman Malik even doesn’t know that coalition support fund has closed down long ago. INP
