Virus infection ratio reduces to 8.1pc from 12pc in 24 hours in Sindh: CM

Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday said that the virus infections in the province had come down to 8.1 per cent from 12 per cent during the past 24 hours. 

In a video message, the chief minister said that a total of 4,112 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours and of them 335 came positive, which is 8.1 per cent of the all tests.

He said that the infections in Sindh had reached 5,291 while seven patients had died from the virus over the past 24 hours.

Today 37 more patients recovered and discharged from various hospitals in the province, he added.

Now the total number of recovered patients has reached 963, the chief minister further said.

Meanwhile, Sindh Governor Sindh Imran Ismail had tested positive for the coronavirus.

The governor confirmed late Monday that he had contracted the coronavirus.
