KARACHI: Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli has donated his signed cricket bat to former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi for his foundation Shahid Afridi Foundation.
“Thank you @imVkohli for your kind gesture in support of @SAFoundationN. Friends & supporters like you ensure #HopeNotOut for everyone,” Tweeted Afridi from his official account with a photograph of the Kohli’s signed bat.
Virat Kohli was quick to reply and wished Afridi the best for his foundation. “You’re most welcome Shahid Bhai. Wishing you and the @SAFoundationN all the luck for the upcoming events. #HopeNotOut,” tweeted the Indian skipper quoting Shahid Afridi’s tweet.
Shahid Afridi, meanwhile, said that Kohli’s gesture is great sign for humanity.
“We must encourage good things, regardless of who is doing it,” said Afridi.
