CARACAS: Venezuela’s center-right opposition called for nationwide protests from next Wednesday in fury at the authorities’ move to block their drive for a referendum to remove President Nicolas Maduro from office.
“That day is going to be the beginning of a mobilization across the whole country,” Henrique Capriles, one of the leaders of the opposition MUD coalition, told a news conference.
