WASHINGTON: The US has decided to resume the aid withheld earlier by the Trump administration to Palestine. 

According to the foreign media, the Biden administration has decided to restore the UN aid to Palestinian refugees. Earlier, the Trump administration had suspended the aid in 2018, which caused great hardships in providing financial aid to the Palestinian refugees.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, in a statement, said that Washington would contribute $150 million to the UN’s relief agency for human aid.

The media reports said that the UN’s relief agency provides financials assistance to 5.7 million Palestinians residing in occupied Al-Quds and Gaza strip for health, education and other sectors.
