WASHINGTON: Days after the Kabul airport suicide attack, the US has launched a drone attack against a Daesh attack “planner” in Afghanistan’s eastern part.
At least 13 US troops were killed in the Kabul airport attack.
President Joe Biden had earlier vowed to hunt down the perpetrators of the Kabul airport attack.
According to the US central command, the drone strike was carried out in Nangarhar province bordering Pakistan.
The US central command claimed to have killed the target.
