Why presidential elections held on first Tuesday of Nov in US?

Washington: Democrat candidate Joe Biden is leading the presidential elections against the Republican’s Donald Trump.

Biden is leading with 238 electoral votes while his rival Trump secured 213 votes in a close contest.

All eyes are on the vote count in the 98 electoral colleges.

To become the next president of the US, a candidate requires to secure at least 270 electoral votes.

Trump has claimed  that the Democrats had been trying to “steal” the elections. However, he vowed to score a big win over Biden.

On the other hand, Joe Biden claimed to be on the track to victory.
