LAHORE: The Pakistan Railways (PR) has upgraded the Business Express train with a cost of Rs 70 million which will be functional from February 8 (Monday).
A spokesman for the PR said on Saturday that capacity of passengers had been increased from 486 to 958 which would increase its daily income to about Rs 3,950,000.
The train would consist of three AC business, two AC standard and eight economy coaches to run between Karachi to Lahore.
The facilities added in the train include Wifi, LED, mineral water, curtains, spearate cleaning staff for each coach, washrooms with latest facilities and public address system.
After the addition of these facilities fares have been changed and now the AC business fare from Lahore to Karachi would be Rs 4,000, Rs 2,800 for AC standard, Rs 1,430 for economy berth while Rs 1,330 for economy seat.
