Unprovoked Indian firing kills woman at LoC

RAWALPINDI: Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing near Nezapir sector of Rawalkot, killing a woman and injuring her family members at Line of Control (LoC), Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) resorted to unprovoked firing at LoC that killed a woman and injured her husband and two daughters in the Pakistani territory.

The victims were identified as Ms. Munir Akhter aged 42, her daughters including Nasreen and Zeenat and husband Muhammad Azam following blast of a mortar shell hit their house as the firing from Indian side started in Mohri village in the Nezapir Sector..

ISPR said that that Pakistani troops made befitting response to the Indian firing and silenced the Indian artillery.
