KASUR: An under custody robber was killed in firing of cohort during attempt to free him here on Saturday.
According to details, police was taking an under custody robber identified as Sarwar for recovery of looted valuables when his accomplices attacked the police party for freeing him in Allahabad area of Kasur.
Exchange of fire took place between the attackers and police in which under custody robber was killed. The police cordoned off the area after the fire exchange and conducted search operation but the assailants managed to flee.
