ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday said Ulema had a vital role in promoting interfaith harmony and highlighting true image of society.
Talking to a delegation of renowned Ulema, who called on the him here, the minister asked Ulema to play their due role in revitalizing true spirit of the society.
The delegation comprised Hafiz Muhammad Siddique, Maulana Syed Attique-ur-Rahman, Maulana Qari Mazhar-ul-Haq, Qari Ehsanul Haq, Sahibzada Atta-ul-Hassan, Qari Muhammad Yasir and Maulana Arif Ali.
The Ulema appreciated role of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in maintaining law and order, promoting national integrity and highlighting true image of Islam as well Pakistan at national and international levels.
They said the courageous stance of Chaudhry Nisar on national security and safeguarding of national interests was commendable and as per wishes of the nation.
The Ulema said religious circles appreciated the steps taken by the minister in larger national interests.
