LONDON: London Police on Wednesday took into custody five members of a Pakistani family with regard to the London Bridge attack.

The arrests were made from a house in Ilford, east London, in connection with last week’s attacks in London.

Three men had rammed a van through crowds of pedestrians on London Bridge on Saturday, before attacking revellers with knives, leaving seven people dead and 48 in hospital.

Police searched the family home, cars and nearby business of the family.

During the search, entry of local residents was limited; only those carrying IDs were allowed to enter the road.
