DUBAI: An Emirati official claimed on Tuesday that if Israel declares war against Gaza Strip it will not affect the Dubai’s deal with Tel Aviv.
The chairman of defence, interior and foreign affairs committee at the UAE’s federal council, Ali Al-Nuaimi, in an interview with Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said that the peace with Israel can bear crises like a war against Gaza Strip.
The deal between the UAE and Israel will finalise this month, Al-Nuaimi hoped.
He said that Crown Prince Mohammad bin Zayed is likely to visit Israel soon, adding the direct flights between the two countries will commence after the signing of the deal.
Al-Nuaimi voiced hope that Israel would not oppose the UAE’s plan to buy F-35 jets from the US.
