In January 2019, the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development had provided $2 billion loan deposit to Pakistan for boosting liquidity.
The development had come after Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s meeting with UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the meeting, Qureshi apprised the UAE minister of the human rights violations being committed by India in occupied Kashmir.
