KARACHI: Karachi police have arrested two suspects from Quaid’s Mausoleum trying to enter into procession of 9th Muharram on Friday.
When police tried to stop them, they fled towards the mausoleum. Police pursued and nabbed them from the mausoleum. They have been taken to police station for interrogation.
DIG East Muneer Sheikh said both the suspects were in custody of police and it was being tried to figure out for what purpose they wanted to participate in the mourning procession.
He said strict security arrangements were made due to threats. SSU commandoes have been deployed along women police to avoid any untoward situation.
