RAWALPINDI: Army troops killed four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in FR Bannu on Thursday night.
According to a statement issued by the army’s media wing ISPR, Lt Khawar and Naik Shehzad embraced martyrdom after an exchange of fire with terrorists.
The clash took place at Mullagano area of Jani Khel in FR Bannu. Four terrorists were killed in the operation.
Two others were taken into custody as intelligence agencies as well as Frontier Corps (FC) personnel conducted the operations in the Kech and Andoor districts of the province.
One FC soldier was also injured in an exchange of fire with the suspected militants.
In Punjab, 10 suspected militants were apprehended as the Rangers conducted ‘search and sanitisation operations’ in Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Lahore, Attock and Rawalpindi.
A cache of arms and ammunition as well as explosive material was also recovered during the operations in both regions.
