Two Pak troops martyred by unprovoked Indian forces firing in four sectors of LOC

MUZAFFARABAD: Two Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom when Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing in four sectors across the Line of Control (LoC) on Thursday morning, amid mounting tensions between the two nuclear-armed adversaries over occupied Kashmir.

According to ISPR, Pakistani troops befittingly responded to Indian unprovoked firing on LOC in Bhimber, Hotspring, Kel, and Lipa sectors. Exchange of fire which started at 0230 hrs after midnight continued till 0800 hrs. Two Pakistani soldiers embraced shahadat

Sources said that the Indian guns were silenced after a befitting reply from Pakistan Army.

According to details, Indian forces made Lachyal village and its surrounding areas the target of their shelling in Poonch sector. They said that the firing continued from 3am to 6am continuously.

Instances of unprovoked firing across the Indo-Pak border have occurred intermittently over the years.
