Two killed as oil tanker catches fire on Super Highway

HYDERABAD: At least two people were burnt to death and 10 sustained burn injuries when an oil tanker caught fire on the Super Highway on Saturday.

Several people who received burn injuries were shifted to a hospital in Karachi.

Police said the ill-fated tanker was carrying 44,000 litres of oil when it caught fire.

The fire also engulfed four nearby vehicles including a police mobile.

The accident occurred when brakes of the tanker failed and it began moving in a reverse direction.
