KARACHI: Provincial Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Sindh on Monday has sent letters to candidates in fray for by-polls on NA-246.
The letter stated that all the candidates are informed through the letter that to end their electioneering in the constituency today at 1200 am.
It added that not implementing on the orders the provincial election commission has right to take disciplinary action against contesting candidates against violating code of conduct.
In this regard district officers were also instructed to make sure implementation on the code of conduct.
Meanwhile two more independent candidates have withdrawn from the by-election scheduled on April 23.
Pervez Hassan Bhatti and Pervez Ali on Monday took their nomination papers back from the provincial ECP.
Now 12 candidates are contesting the by-election of whom tuff competition are between Jamaat Islami (JI), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) candidates.
