Two bomb attacks in Sindh left four killed

KARACHI: A hand-grenade attack has left one dead and seven injured in Liaquatabad area on Friday.

A senior police official said that police van was targeted, which was deputed at the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Progam Centre established at the Anjum-e-Islamia College in Liaquatabad No 10.

As a result, one person was killed while seven others including a Rangers personnel injured. The body and the injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Meanwhile, three people, two Rangers personnel among them, were killed in a bomb explosion near the railway station here on Friday.

The blast took place near a meat shop where the Rangers personnel were buying, a senior police official said.

He said that two Rangers personnel and a civilian were killed in the explosion.

DSP Qadir said that the bodies and the wounded were taken to District Hospital Ghotki.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali taking notice of the incident has ordered immediate inquiry into the incident.

He also expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of lives in the blast.
