CHINIOT: Police on Friday foiled a major terror bid by seizing weapons and drugs and arresting two accused in Chiniot.
Police received information about a group which was trying to smuggling huge cache of weapons from Sargodha to Lahore through Chiniot in a vehicle.
Taking action, police setup a check post on Sargodha road Darbar Wadi Aziz Sharif and searched a suspicious car. At least 19 rifles, 69 pistols, 22,000 bullets were recovered from the car and two suspects were also arrested. They were shifted to undisclosed place for investigation.
