Punjab Chief Minister’s Spokesperson Dr Shahbaz Gill’s Twitter account was suspended on Saturday by the micro-blogging site.
“This account has been suspended” is the message that appears on his account page.
According to Twitter, accounts are suspended over spam, abuse, or if their security is at risk.
Gill, who is quite vocal with his views on Twitter, had nearly 48,000 followers.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s social media team claimed Dr Gill did not violate any Twitter rules.
“We request Twitter to look into the matter and lift the suspension immediately,” the PTI demanded from Twitter.
