Turkey twin blasts: death toll reaches 86

ANKARA: At least 86 people were reported killed in twin suicide bomb blasts struck a rally of pro-Kurdish and leftist activists at a train station on Saturday.

Turkish health minister Mehmet Muezzinoglu told a news conference that 86 people were killed and 186 left wounded. He expressed fears that the death toll could rise further.

President Tayyip Erdogan said in his statement that the horrific explosions targeted unity, togetherness, brotherhood and future of the country.

There were no claims of responsibility for the attack.
