TTP threatens to attack K-Electric if it did not end power breakdowns

KARACHI: Banned terrorists organisation Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has threaten K-Electric that would target the company if it didn’t end power outage in Karachi, Ary news reported.

In a statement TTP spokesperson Mohammad Khurasani expressed his grief and condolences over the heat-related deaths in the southern port city of Karachi and said that the chronic power cuts in the midst of a record heat wave have caused public protests in Karachi.

The K-Electric company, in a statement, has blamed technical faults and surging demand for the power outages.

It is pertinent to mention here that intense heat wave has killed over 1000 people in the past week.
