ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Shibli Faraz has said that technology should be used to make the Senate elections transparent.
Talking to media after the Supreme Court decision here on Monday, Faraz said that the country has all kinds of resources but is not making progress due to corruption. Those come through money prefer personal interests.
He said that today’s decision of the Supreme Court was historic in which steps have been taken to make the elections transparent. Secret ballot is not permanent but there are other requirements of the time and ground realities.
Shibli Faraz said that the opinion of Prime Minister Imran Khan won. We have witnessed who stood where on the issue of transparency. We want every member of the Senate to be elected on merit, he added.
