CAIRO: The Arab League has said that the Trump’s Middle East peace plan would lead to a state of apartheid.

Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit speaking at the emergency meeting said that the US president’s plan would lead to one-state situation, which comprises two classes of citizens.

He feared that the proposed plan will sow the seeds of conflict and suffering for another 100 years.

Under the plan, Palestinians will be the second-class citizens without having basic citizenship rights, he added. Gheit said that the Tump’s Middle East plan would not bring peace or stability in the region.
