WASHINGTON: I would do my best to mediate the Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan, says the US president.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said he would talk on the issue with Indian premier Modi over the weekend.
Modi and Trump are scheduled to have a meeting at the G7 Summit to be held in France this weekend.
He said,”Kashmir is a very complicated place. You have Hindus and you have the Muslims and I wouldn’t say they get along so great.”
“I will do the best I can to mediate,” Trump added.
