LAHORE: The Appellate Tribunal has declared the Returning Officers decision rejecting Imran Khan’s nomination papers in NA-95, Mianwali as null and void and allowed the PTI chief to contest from the constituency.
Earlier, the RO had reserved its judgment on a plea seeking rejection of Imran Khan’s nomination papers in NA 95, Mianwali.
The appellant court headed by Justice Faisal Zaman heard the case.
Babar Awan, the counsel for Imran Khan, had presented his arguments before the court.
The PTI chief’s lawyer stated that Imran has completely disclosed his assets.
He further added that the Returning Officer had rejected his clients papers not on factual but technical grounds.
The opposition’s lawyer stated that Imran Khans oath was not attested by oath commissioner and his signatures were fake.
