KHYBER AGENCY: Tribal elders from Khyber Agency have threatened India that they would receive befitting response if India wages a war against Pakistan.
The grand jirga held at Tidi bazaar on Monday in Jamrud was attended by hundreds of elders and youth from Landikotal, Jamrud and Bara tehsils of Khyber Agency.
Speakers including former federal minister Noorul-Haq Qadri, Malik Salahuddin Kukikhel, Malik Darya Khan, Malik Faizullah Jan, Malik Ghafar, Malik Khan Marjan and Malik Ismail said that they were ready to fight India.
Noorul-Haq Qadri warned in his clear words that India would receive befitting response from Pakistan and tribesmen on any aggression.
He stated that tribal elders and youth had been loyal to their country and Pak-Army. He said they would fight for their homeland against any foreign agression.
They also chanted full-throated slogans against Modi and India. —INP
