PESHAWAR: Aftershocks up to 5.2 magnitude were felt in different areas of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province including Peshawar, Bannu, DG Khan, South Waziristan, Noshera, Tank and its suburban areas on Monday.
Met Department has said the aftershocks would be felt for at least one and a half more months. Depth of the earthquake is recorded to be 10 km under earth. Center of the earthquake aftershocks has been found to be 280 km away from Multan in Koh-e-Suleman Range.
People rushed out of their houses and work places.
On Monday 5.0 magnitude aftershock jolted Peshawar, Swat, Malakand and other ares. No casualty or damage is reported so far.
The series of aftershocks are still continue in the different cities. A strong earthquake of 7.5 magnitude struck major cities of Pakistan, including the northern areas on Monday, leaving at least 200 dead and more than 1,000 injured due to building collapses, landslides, stampedes and other quake related incidents. The earthquake struck the country at 2:09pm.
Forty minutes after the first earthquake, an aftershock of 4.8 magnitude was reported in the same area.
