Traffic police specifies route for participants of PTI’s gathering

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced a traffic plan for convenience of those coming to Islamabad to attend the political gathering of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI).  

According to details, those coming from Peshawar road or motorway road would take left turn from G-11 signal at Kashmir Highway.They would use G-11 service road or Mirabadia road and to use Ibn-e-Sina or Nazim-ud-din road after taking right turn.

These vehicles would approach F-10 round about and would take right turn from there for Mehran gate of F-9 Park at Ibn-e-Sina road to reach parking area there.

Those coming from GT Road or Rawalpindi would reach Zero Point after using Expressway and Faizabad road.From there, they would turn left for Kashmir Highway a little before Zero Point and to take right turn from Project More (G-10).These vehicles would reach at parking lot at Mehran gate of F-9 Park after crossing Ibn-e-Sina Road and signal of G-10/3.

Vehicles coming from Murree would reach Zero Point after passing through Rawal Dam Chowk and taking right turn from Faizabad.They would take right turn from Zero point and to use Project More (G-10) from Kashmir Highway.

At conclusion of gathering, all vehicles would have to go at Kashmir Highway after using Ibn-e-Sina Road.During the PTI’s gathering from 1300 hours to onward, the roads of Jinnah Avenue and from F-8 Exchange Chowk to F-10 round about would remain close for public.

Similarly, Ibn-e-Sina road from PARC Chowk to G-10/3 Signal will also remain close for public use while other main roads like 9th avenue, 7th avenue, Kashmir Highway, Margallah road, Murree road, IJP road and Expressway would remain completely open for public.
