ISLAMABAD: Traders on Monday threatened countrywide shutter down strike next month over withholding tax on banking transactions.
A representative body of the traders announced a countrywide strike next month if the federal government would not withdraw withholding tax on banking transactions.
While addressing a press conference, President Anjuman-e-Tajiran Khalid Pervaiz rejected 0.3 percent withholding tax. He said that traders would hold countrywide shutter down strike on August 5th. He said that traders have rejected any kind of tax on withdrawing cash from their bank accounts.
