KARACHI: Traders and marriage hall owners have rejected the Sindh government’s fresh curbs in the wake of spike in Covid cases.

All Karachi Marriage Hall Association President Rana Raees Ahmed voiced displeasure over new restrictions and announced protests across the country.

Addressing a press conference, Rana Raees said that all the wedding halls were following the standard operating procedures (SOPs) being issued by the provincial government.

He strongly condemned the Sindh government’s decision. He added that the association had convened a meeting of all members to chalk out a plan against the new restrictions.

“We will hold demonstrations in the first phase in Karachi and later expand protests’ scope,” he warned.
