KABUL: A notable Islamic State (IS) militant has been killed in drone strike in Afghanistan on Saturday.
According to Afghan media, Hafiz Saeed Orakzai, the IS chief of Khorasan region (Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran) was killed as US missile struck a hideout in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.
Sources says that 30 other militants were also killed in the attack.
Hafiz Saeed Orakzai was a former chief of TTP Orakzai group after which he became the chief of ISIS.
It must be noted that TTP turned IS militant Shahidullah Shahid was killed in a similar strike on Thursday.
