Hollywood actor Tom Hanks has taken the social media by storm through a post to reunite a college student with her lost ID card.
He posted this message ‘Lauren! I found your Student ID in the park. If you still need it my office will get to you. Hanx’ on Twitter with a photo of her ID card issued by Fordham University in New York City.
By Tuesday evening the post had been retweeted thousands of times and favourited more than 10,000 times.
The ‘Forrest Gump’ star drew praise from his followers for the gesture.
‘You’re just awesome,’ one person replied to the original tweet.
The two-time Oscar winner was on the receiving end of a similar act of kindness not long ago, when a guy returned him his credit card.
