TOKYO: Tokyo stocks were flat Friday morning, taking a break after three days of gains, despite a rise on Wall Street as investors focus on a key US jobs report.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange edged down 0.02 percent, or 4.10 points, to 16,956.06 by the lunch break.
The broader Topix index of all first-section shares ticked up 0.07 percent, or 0.92 points, to 1,369.97.
